Information for civil drones (unmanned aerial vehicles)

Since December 31, 2020, EU Regulations 2019/945 and 2019/947 have applied in the EU and EASA member states for the safe operation of unmanned aircraft (hereinafter referred to as drones) in European airspace.

Drones are divided into different categories and classes: Revell Control brand drones are usually toys in accordance with EU Directive 2009/48/EC or drones with a take-off mass of less than 250 g that fly slower than 19 m/s and correspond to the “OPEN/A1” category, class “C0”.

Therefore, these drones and/or their operators are generally not subject to registration.

When purchasing, make sure you check the packaging label to see which class the drone is classified into.
