When every second counts in the Swiss mountains, this helicopter is often the last hope. The EC135 from Air-Glaciers is a symbol of alpine rescue expertise. With this starter kit you don't just get a kit, but a piece of Swiss aviation history home. The special thing about this set: you can start immediately. We have already packed the appropriate base colors, a brush and the special model building glue in the box. It is the perfect package to immerse yourself in the fascinating world of rotorcraft without the stress of preparation.
Why this set is ready for use
- Everything included: No extra trip to the store – Aqua Color paints, brushes and Contacta glue are included. Ideal for beginners and as a gift.
- Look inside: The kit impresses with a detailed cockpit with instrument panel and a well-designed interior.
- Technical sophistication: A highlight of the EC135 is the encased “Fenestron” tail rotor, which is also precisely reproduced in the model.
- Moving parts: The movable main rotor ensures a dynamic look after assembly.
- Authentic design: The high-quality decals allow you to create an exact replica of the “HB-ZRK” machine from 2015.
Building this 1:72 scale model is an exciting task (Level 4). You assemble the aerodynamic shell and devote yourself to the fine details of the rescue equipment inside. Thanks to its compact size of approx. 14 cm, the finished helicopter can fit anywhere, but looks very realistic thanks to the fine surface structures. It's a wonderful way to understand the technology that makes this helicopter one of the most used rescue tools in the world.

For beginners, Revell models with skill level 1 or 2 are recommended. Level 1 includes simple plug-in kits without glue, while level 2 requires basic gluing work. These models have fewer components (usually 20-50 parts) and simple color schemes. Experienced model makers should only start at level 3, as this already requires detailed painting and precise gluing work.
The packaging colors show a basic painting for quick results. However, the construction instructions contain detailed color recommendations for authentic, true-to-scale replicas. Professional model makers use the instructions' extended color palette for more realistic results. This enables both beginners to create simple projects and experts to create detailed replicas.
Revell releases new models and new editions of classic kits every month. Around 60-80 new products are released every year, including airplanes, ships, cars and RC models. The list of new products is updated at the beginning of each month. Collectors and enthusiasts should check the Revell webshop regularly, as limited editions often sell out quickly.
Revell invests significantly in product development, precise injection molds and detailed construction instructions. Each model goes through extensive design processes, tool making and quality control according to the EN 71.5 standard. The higher costs result from licensed original artwork, multilingual instructions and the use of high-quality plastics that enable precise details.
You can obtain spare parts for Revell models from official customer service or authorized dealers. Many parts can be reordered individually, although an exact kit number is required. Alternatively, specialized model building communities offer exchanges. For older, no longer produced models, 3D printing services or aftermarket manufacturers can often help.
The basic equipment includes plastic glue, side cutters, files, basic paints (black, white, gray) and brushes of various sizes. Primer, clear coat and detail brushes are recommended for advanced projects. A cutting mat set and good lighting significantly improve the quality of work. Budget beginners can start well with around 50-80 euros.
Revell RC models are differentiated according to age groups. Ready-to-run models are suitable for ages 8 and up, while kit RC models require experience in model building. Adults benefit from expandable systems and tuning options. The skill level marking helps with selection - RC beginners should start with levels 1-2, even as adults.
The Revell range includes over 400 active models, which is challenging for small retailers in terms of inventory and finances. Specialist retailers tend to focus on popular categories or regional preferences. The official Revell web shop offers the full range, while local dealers often allow special orders. Remaining stocks of older models can often be found in specialized model making shops.
We accept product suggestions via the contact form on the website. Successful proposals take into account market potential, licensability and technical feasibility. Keep in mind that developing new models takes 12-24 months. Detailed suggestions with reference material have a higher chance of success, but due to the high volume, not all ideas can be implemented.
All Revell products comply with the European toy standard and are regularly tested for harmful substances. Safety instructions in the construction instructions are mandatory and particularly concern adhesives and paints. Models below skill level 3 are designed for children aged 10 and over, higher levels require supervision or are only recommended for children aged 14 and over. The CE marking confirms conformity.
