Complete color systems for every model type

What are color sets and what advantages do you offer?

Color sets are thematically compiled color collections that were specially developed for certain model categories. These sets contain all the necessary colors for authentic painting without time -consuming individual procurement.

The main advantage is the perfect color tuning: Each set has been compiled by model building experts and is based on historical models or original manufacturers. This guarantees that you receive coherent color pictures without bad purchases.

What types of color sets are there?

Historical military sets: Contain faithful camouflages and basic colors for different epochs and nations. From Wehrmacht gray to NATO stars.

Vehicle color sets: Especially for automobiles, motorcycles and commercial vehicles. Contain body colors, chrome effects and detailed colors for interiors.

Aviation collections: Cockpit colors, outdoor coatings and labeling colors for civilian and military aircraft of all eras.

Weathering and effect sets

Weathering sets simulate realistic signs of aging and wear. They contain specially developed colors and pigments for rust effects, dirt and natural wear.

These sets make it possible to transform sterile models into authentic -looking replicas. Weathering effects significantly increase credibility, especially in military vehicles and historical models.

What should you pay attention to when buying?

Before buying, check whether the selected set fits the planned model category. Also take into account the scale - larger models need more color accordingly.

Pay attention to the color girder: acrylic paints are low -odor and water -soluble, while enamel coloring offer more intensive opacity. Many modern sets optimally combine both systems.

For beginners, Revell models with Skill level 1 or 2. Level 1 include simple plug-in kits without glue, while Level 2 requires basic adhesive work. These models have fewer components (usually 20-50 parts) and simple color schemes. Experienced model builders should only start from level 3, since detailed painting and precise adhesive work are already required here.

The packaging colors show basic painting for quick results. However, the building instructions contain detailed color recommendations for authentic, true -to -scale replicas. Professional model builders use the extended color palette of the instructions for more realistic results. This enables simple projects as well as experts to replicate detail.

Revell publishes new models and new editions of classic kits every month. Around 60-80 new products appear every year, including aircraft, ships, cars and RC models. The list of novelties is updated at the beginning of the month. Collectors and enthusiasts should regularly check the Revell web shop, since limited editions are often quickly sold out.

Revell invests significantly in product development, precise injection molds and detailed building instructions. Each model goes through extensive design processes, tool construction and quality control according to EN 71.5 standard. The higher costs result from licensed original templates, multilingual instructions and the use of high -quality plastics that enable precise details.

You can get spare parts for Revell models from official customer service or authorized specialist dealers. Many parts can be ordered individually, with an exact kit number required. Alternatively, specialized model building communities offer exchange exchanges. In older, no longer produced models, 3D printing services or aftermarket manufacturers often help.

The basic equipment includes plastic adhesive, side cutters, files, basic colors (black, white, gray) and brush of different sizes.
