A tankless compressor turns on as soon as you activate the device or pull the trigger on your gun and runs continuously throughout the spraying process. This is absolutely functional for simple work, but it causes the engine to constantly generate heat. Practical tips for optimal printing results

To achieve first-class results from the first minute, you should never look at work pressure in isolation. It is always in a direct triangular relationship to two other variables: the paint viscosity and the nozzle diameter.

  1. Always adjust pressure with the trigger pulled: A common beginner's mistake is reading the pressure on the pressure gauge while the gun is closed (back pressure). Always adjust the working pressure so that you press the trigger on your gun down so that air continuously escapes (flow pressure). This flow pressure is the real value at which your paint is atomized.
  2. Adjust the viscosity: If your paint is mixed too thickly, the spray jet will tend to form drops (“speckling”) at low pressure. Do I absolutely need a compressor with a storage tank?

Why does my airbrush gun spit water even though the compressor is oil-free?

The phenomenon occurs due to natural humidity. When compressed, the air heats up and can absorb a lot of moisture. If it cools on the way to the gun, the water vapor condenses into tiny droplets in the hose. The most effective solution is a water separator mounted directly on the pressure reducer or an additional small mini water filter that is screwed directly under the handle of the spray gun.

How often do I have to drain the condensation on my compressor?

We recommend emptying the collecting bell of the water separator after every major work operation. If your device has a compressed air tank, you should briefly open the drain screw on the bottom at least once a month - if you use it very frequently, better after every painting weekend - to drain collected moisture and reliably prevent rust formation.
