Background information

The Hawker Sea Hurricane was created as a naval variant of the legendary RAF Hurricane fighter. Urgently needed to escort convoys in 1941, regular Hurricanes were fitted with arrestor hooks and reinforced landing gear. The Mk.IIC version had improved armament with four 20mm Hispano cannons and proved to be extremely effective against German long-range reconnaissance aircraft. Only a few examples remain today, making this model kit a special way to pay tribute to this historic aircraft.

The most common questions

For beginners, Revell models with Skill level 1 or 2. Level 1 include simple plug-in kits without glue, while Level 2 requires basic adhesive work. These models have fewer components (usually 20-50 parts) and simple color schemes. Experienced model builders should only start from level 3, since detailed painting and precise adhesive work are already required here.

The packaging colors show basic painting for quick results. However, the building instructions contain detailed color recommendations for authentic, true -to -scale replicas. Professional model builders use the extended color palette of the instructions for more realistic results. This enables simple projects as well as experts to replicate detail.

Revell publishes new models and new editions of classic kits every month. Around 60-80 new products appear every year, including aircraft, ships, cars and RC models. The list of novelties is updated at the beginning of the month. Collectors and enthusiasts should regularly check the Revell web shop, since limited editions are often quickly sold out.

Revell invests significantly in product development, precise injection molds and detailed building instructions. Each model goes through extensive design processes, tool construction and quality control according to EN 71.5 standard.
