In the mid-1950s, Chevy® introduced its new V-8 engine with overhead valve, commonly referred to as the "small-block" Chevy®. These cars, equipped in the years '55 - '57, have become known as "Tri-Chevys". The 1957 is the most popular of all. The Bel Air® version was the top-of-the-line model with additional features and trims that made it stand out. The rear tails were a styling trend that celebrated the jet age
