Background information
The Vasa, named after the Swedish royal dynasty, was commissioned in 1625 under King Gustav II Adolf as the flagship of the Baltic fleet. With a length of 69 meters and equipped with 72 cannons, it was one of the most imposing warships of its time. Over 700 gilded sculptures adorned the magnificent ship. Tragically, the Vasa sank on her maiden voyage in Stockholm harbor on August 10, 1628. She was salvaged 333 years later and can now be admired in the Vasa Museum in Stockholm.

For beginners, Revell models with Skill level 1 or 2. Level 1 include simple plug-in kits without glue, while Level 2 requires basic adhesive work. These models have fewer components (usually 20-50 parts) and simple color schemes. Experienced model builders should only start from level 3, since detailed painting and precise adhesive work are already required here.
The packaging colors show basic painting for quick results. However, the building instructions contain detailed color recommendations for authentic, true -to -scale replicas. Professional model builders use the extended color palette of the instructions for more realistic results. This enables simple projects as well as experts to replicate detail.
Revell publishes new models and new editions of classic kits every month. Around 60-80 new products appear every year, including aircraft, ships, cars and RC models. The list of novelties is updated at the beginning of the month. Collectors and enthusiasts should regularly check the Revell web shop, since limited editions are often quickly sold out.
