First, think about where you mainly want to drive. A compact, maneuverable boat is completely sufficient for the pool in the garden. A large speedboat would literally reach its limits here. Another important factor is travel time. Depending on the battery capacity and driving style, this is usually between 10 and 20 minutes. If you are planning longer trips to the lake, we recommend that you order a suitable replacement battery. This means you can continue the driving fun seamlessly while the empty battery is perhaps already charging on a power bank.

The use of remote-controlled boats is strictly prohibited in nature reserves, bird protection reserves or designated spawning areas. The rapid movements and noise of the engines can cause serious disruption to waterfowl and fish.
For safety reasons, you should also avoid driving in designated bathing areas or outdoor pools unless you have express permission. Nobody wants to be surprised by a high-speed boat while swimming. The best choices are quiet sections of the banks of quarry lakes, municipal ponds (unless prohibited) or of course your own pool on private property. Here you have free rein and can fully enjoy the performance of your boat.
Care and maintenance: This keeps your RC boat ready to drive for a long time
A remote-controlled boat is a technical device that regularly comes into contact with water. So that you can enjoy your Revell Control model for a long time, some basic care after each use is essential. Don't worry, it only takes a few minutes and will pay off in a long service life.
When you take your boat out of the water, you should first dry the outside. Then open the canopy or lid to allow any splash water or condensation that may have penetrated to escape. Even if the electronics are protected, the interior of the fuselage should be completely dry during storage. It is best to let the boat dry in a well-ventilated area with the hood open.
A particularly important topic is battery care. Always remove the battery from the boat after driving. Never store lithium batteries (Li-Ion or LiPo) completely empty, as this can lead to a harmful deep discharge. Before storing for a long period of time, charge the battery to about half its capacity. If you have driven your boat in salt water (which we do not recommend for most models), you must rinse it with clean fresh water, as salt attacks the metal parts and seals extremely quickly.
