Background information
The original ship "Hermann Marwede" is the largest sea rescue cruiser in the German Society for the Rescue of Shipwrecker (DGZRS). Since its commissioning in 2003, his crews have driven more than 600 missions in the German bay - for seafarers, fishermen, ferry passengers and water sports on the most busy sea shipping roads in the world. More than 1,000 sea rescuers are around 2,000 times on 60 rescue units every year - around the clock, in any weather, only financed by voluntary donations. Since it was founded in 1865, the DGZRS has saved more than 86,000 people from distress or freed danger. This model kit is not only a tribute to the ship itself, but also a recognition of the life-saving work of the sea rescuers on the North and Baltic Sea. For beginners, Revell models with Skill level 1 or 2. Level 1 include simple plug-in kits without glue, while Level 2 requires basic adhesive work. These models have fewer components (usually 20-50 parts) and simple color schemes. Experienced model builders should only start from level 3, since detailed painting and precise adhesive work are already required here.
The packaging colors show basic painting for quick results. However, the building instructions contain detailed color recommendations for authentic, true -to -scale replicas. Professional model builders use the extended color palette of the instructions for more realistic results. This enables simple projects as well as experts to replicate detail.
